Animal Outfitters—the premier purveyor of specialty pet supplies in the city of Buffalo—will expand its current retail operations with the development of a second business enterprise. In association with the 500 Seneca Street adaptive reuse project located in the former F.N. Burt box factory, Animal Outfitters at 500 Seneca will soon be open. This local landmark building, located in the Hydraulics District is listed on the United States Register of Historic Places.

Locally owned and operated since 2005, Animal Outfitters will achieve its ten-year business goal by opening a unique “boutique” facility located within 500 Seneca Street. This exciting new location will be dedicated exclusively to dog daycare, grooming, self-service dog washing, canine training and fitness, along with additional premium pet wellness activities and services.

Animal Outfitters at 500 Seneca will meet the needs of dog parents and their canine companions that both live in the City of Buffalo or work in the City of Buffalo. This second location will be especially convenient for workers and residents of the Hydraulics District—commonly known as the Larkin District—adjacent to downtown Buffalo, including the neighboring Central Business District, Canalside, Cobblestone districts, and the Buffalo-Niagara Medical Campus.

Omar Zahzouhi, Owner and President of Animal Outfitters, Inc. is proud to announce this major business expansion. “Animal Outfitters is more than a location—it’s an experience based on exceptional customer service, providing unparalleled expertise and competitive pricing. Moving beyond our retail roots, we will now offer our Animal Outfitters’ family a safe and fun environment for dog daycare, play, and wellness activities in a home-away-from-home atmosphere.” Zahzouhi concluded: “We are invested in the future of the city of Buffalo and are especially pleased to be associated with the 500 Seneca historic restoration and adaptive reuse project.”

Animal Outfitters at 500 Seneca is currently in the build-out phase and is scheduled to open to the public with a Grand Opening planned for January 2016.
